TESTIMONIES
Tracey Carmen
(VOX / Vocal Coach / Workshop Leader / Creative Education Consultant)
"Josephine has worked for VOX many times as a workshop leader and we hope to continue a relationship with her in the future. We have found her to be a highly professional practitioner who is reliable and plans well. She develops a great rapport with participants and her choice of repertoire is relevant, fun and engaging. She is able to work with both primary and secondary aged young people. She is reflective and consistently strives to improve her practice through CPD."
Martin Foster
(Workshop Facilitator / Music Producer)
"I've had the pleasure of working with Josephine on several occasions, as a facilitator and as a musician.
As freelance music workshop leaders, we have worked together on numerous projects in primary education. We're currently active facilitators of a national project working with primary educators in the St Helen's area, modelling and passing on choir leadership skills with a vision to encourage and enhance singing activities in schools. We completed the first phase of this project at the end of spring term this year, where Josephine's excellent skills were apparent during a celebration performance by the staff and children she had been working with.
Previous to this project, Josephine facilitated a group of children as they worked together as songwriters and performers on a project aimed at celebrating the revival of Liverpool's canal system. I joined her at one of her later sessions of the project and experienced the young participants enjoying their time with her as well as performing in a three part harmony piece excellently facilitated and performed.
As a musician, Josephine is exceptionally talented. She has written a catalogue of wonderful and very memorable songs. She sought my advice as a music producer to solve some issues she had with mixing and mastering material she had solely performed and recorded. Her ear is finely tuned to hearing both how her songs should be structured and how she wants the finished production to be. Rather than wanting me to mix her productions, she was far more interested in completing all her work herself. I've only heard two or three songs since I left her to it and they sound excellent!
Not only does she create amazing music, she also designs her own webspaces, which are equally elaborate and complete.
Finally, Josephine is a such a warm and beautiful person to be around, professionally and socially. She is very giving and very charming and I'm very glad she is in my life! Every time I meet her I smile, regardless of the weather outside!"
